History

KCAA Preschools of Hawai'i, Hawai'i's first eleemosynary organization, offered the first teacher training and free Kindergartens to all of Hawaii's children. Teacher training eventually was moved to what became the University of Hawaii, and the Kindergartens were taken over by the Territorial Department of Education, allowing the organization to focus on serving younger children. During it's over 100 year history, KCAA has served over 100,000 children and trained hundreds of teachers of young children.
