The Road to Kindergarten

Road to Kindergarten

Research shows that quality early education significantly influences academic and social development. KCAA Preschools of Hawai'i recognizes the importance of early learning development, and provides high quality, educational experiences for all children. The Creative Curriculum for Infants, Toddlers, and Twos® and the Creative Curriculum for Preschool® are used through out your child’s educational experience at KCAA. The curriculum is based on over 20 years of early research on early childhood development. Children are instructed and assessed in over 20 to 50 educational goals and objectives that include social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language skills. Each curriculum is developmentally appropriate for each age level and includes ongoing assessments and reports for parents about their child’s progress. To ensure success, KCAA also chose the Creative Curriculum because it is aligned to the Hawaii State Preschool Content Standards.

As children enter PreK (four year old level), they receive focused academic instruction with the Scholastic Early Childhood Program. This curriculum provides opportunities for early literacy, math, science, and social studies skill development.
